Frequently Asked Questions
For curious minds...
If I haven't answered your question here, or you'd like to chat more about how to get started or what to expect, please get in touch. I'd love to hear from you.
I am new, where should I start?
All new clients, regardless of experience will be required to attend 1 Private Pilates class before joining a Pilates Trio Class. If you are new, this is the perfect place to learn more about your body and how Pilates can enhance your daily life.
Set yourself up well with our Good Moves IntroPack
1 x Private Pilates Class, 1 x Pilates Trio Class, a personalised program AND a pair of Pilates grip socks.
What if I can't find a suitable time for my Private Class?
If there are no suitable times for your Private Pilates Class on the schedule, please email hello@goodmovespilates.com.au with your availability. Please include days, dates & times. I will be in touch & will work with you to find a solution.
What can I expect at my first Private Class?
This is your time to share, in a private setting why you have come to Pilates. We will have a friendly chat about your health/medical history, discuss your fitness/rehabilitation goals and see how your body moves. It's not a test! This is an opportunity for me to put together a program to see you reach your health & wellness goals.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and get familiar with the space & equipment.
What do I wear/ bring?
Comfy exercise clothes that allow you to move freely. Please avoid zippers as they can damage the equipment. Bring a water bottle & don't forget your grippy socks. Grip socks are worn for health & safety reasons. Move Active grip socks are available for purchase in studio if you forget.
What is the cancellation policy?
Good Moves reserves a strict 12 hour cancellation policy. Spaces are very limited & I prepare a class plan for every session. Please honour my and your fellow movers time by cancelling classes 12 hours ahead of time to avoid forfeiting your session.
I understand life happens, this is not to punish you. This is to ensure that as a small business I can stay open & continue offering the Redlands Coast a positive movement experience. I do not accept late cancellations via sms, email or social media. Please manage your cancellations via the booking system.
Can I attend pre/post natal?
Absolutely! I am up to date with current Australian Pregnancy Guidelines. Our small group classes mean that I can program exercises that will actually benefit you, rather than you being lost in the crowd of a large group fitness class doing precoregraphed exercises. If you are returning to Pilates post baby, please wait until you have medical clearance to return to exercise prior to booking.
